Ex-Sandusky Probe Workers Lack Lawsuit Against Former AG Kane

Five former Pennsylvania attorney general’s office employees have lost a lawsuit claiming their ex-boss, Kathleen Kane, retaliated against them, including by falsely claiming delays in investigating the actions of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky caused two more children to be sexually abused.

The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit on Tuesday affirmed a trial court decision to dismiss on qualified immunity grounds some of the claims by the workers that Kane had defamed them to the media in violation of their constitutional rights.
