Ex-Sam’s Club Worker Can’t Bring Class Action Over Closing Time

A former Sam’s Club employee failed to advance a class action alleging the retail warehouse chain didn’t compensate late-shift workers for time spent waiting to be released from the store after they clocked out.

A federal judge in California rejected, for the second time, Carlos Sanchez’s bid to certify a monetary relief class and an injunctive relief class for Sam’s Club employees who clocked out in a specific time period, and who allegedly weren’t compensated for waiting time at certain California locations.
