A former PetSmart LLC dog groomer who sued over claims that the company discriminated against her because of her pregnancy has agreed to end her lawsuit.
Victoria Highsmith stipulated to an “immediate dismissal of this action with prejudice,” according to her Wednesday filing made to the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Each party agreed to bear its own fees and costs.
- Highsmith asked not to lift heavy dogs in May of 2022 as a reasonable accommodation to her pregnancy, but PetSmart continued to reduce her work hours instead, according to the complaint filed last November
