Ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas, suspected Israeli organized crime figure Yevgeni Gershman, and four others were arrested Wednesday for allegedly operating an illegal high-stakes gambling business.
Prosecutors say Arenas rented out his Encino, Calif., mansion for the games with the help of Arthur Kats, while other alleged co-conspirators handled hosting and managing the events.
The defendants allegedly hired young women who served drinks, provided massages, and “offered companionship” to the players. There were also chefs, valets, and armed security.
