Ex-NBA Player Sentenced to Time Served in Health Care Fraud Case

Former NBA player Eddie Robinson was sentenced to time served Wednesday on charges stemming from his involvement in a plan to defraud the NBA players’ health-care plan.

Judge Valerie E. Caproni also ordered Robinson serve three years’ supervised release, and 120 hours of community service for each year of supervised release.

“By sentencing Mr. Robinson to time served, Judge Caproni saw Mr. Robinson for who he really is, a mensch and an asset to the community,” his attorney Todd A. Spodek in New York, N.Y. told Bloomberg Law.
