Ex-McKinsey Employee Sees Malware Whistleblower Suit Dismissed

A former McKinsey & Co. Inc. employee alleging that the company won’t admit its products can’t withstand a malware attack as advertised saw his case dismissed.

Kamran Niazi said in his complaint that McKinsey didn’t want to acknowledge its products were unable to restore a client’s data in the event of a ransomware attack. Niazi said that after he refused to hide the severity of the problem in a presentation to a McKinsey executive, he was told to either accept a previously withdrawn performance improvement plan or lose his job. He chose to be terminated.
