Ex-Lawyer Who Lied Way into Firm Jobs Gets 37 Months in Prison

A disbarred Cincinnati lawyer who lied his way into multiple high-paying firm jobs across the US has been sentenced to 37 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release.

Richard Crosby—who has been in custody since July—will receive credit for time-served, the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio said.

Judge Jeffery P. Hopkins sentenced him on Feb. 7, commending that he be placed at FCI Ashland in Kentucky followed by the maximum term—12 months—at a residential reentry center.
