A former Oklahoma lawyer and his landman cousin have been sentenced to 60 months and 18 months in prison, respectively, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit honest services fraud last year.
The lawyer, Blaine Dyer, and his cousin, James “Jimmy” Dyer, were indicted in the US District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma in May 2022 for using ill-gotten confidential business information to defraud oil and gas company Continental Resources Inc.
Judge Jodi W. Dishman entered the sentences on the docket May 31.
