Ex-Knick Star Oakley Must Produce Documents in MSG Ejection Case

Former New York Knicks basketball player Charles Oakley, embroiled in litigation with Madison Square Garden entities since his forcible ejection from the storied arena in 2017, lost his bid to shield from disclosure emails between one of his attorneys and a pair of public relations strategists.

Oakley, who retired after the 2004 season, must produce those messages—including some regarding his autobiography—Judge Richard Sullivan of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said, rejecting arguments they were shielded by the attorney work-product doctrine.
