A former University of Kansas professor arrested as part of the Justice Department’s now-defunct “China Initiative” is suing the school for not rehiring him after he won his appeal challenging the last charge against him.
Feng “Franklin” Tao, a former KU chemistry and chemical engineering professor, alleges he was unlawfully terminated from the university after his arrest and that administrators refused to reinstate him despite his acquittal, Tao said in his complaint filed with the US District Court for the District of Kansas.
