Ex-International Paper Worker Advances Trimmed Wage Class Action

An ex-warehouse worker for International Paper Co. can continue pursuing a proposed wages and hours class action but without a claim over rest periods.

Former employee Omar Magana can pursue claims alleging the company didn’t pay overtime wages, provide proper meal breaks, and indemnify business expenses, the US District Court for the Central District of California decided in an opinion docketed August 22.
