Ex-Girardi Keese Lawyer’s Suspension Set for 15 Months (Correct)

A former Girardi Keese lawyer had his suspension for misleading clients about their settlement funds increased Friday, after a panel of appellate judges incorporated a charge of making a false statement under oath that was previously dismissed.

Keith Griffin’s actual suspension should be increased from six months to 15 months, Judge Tamara M. Ribas of the California State Bar Review Department wrote, finding that the California State Bar’s Office of Trial Counsel met its burden of proof with respect to that charge.
