George Mason University convinced a federal court to narrow former FTC commissioner and ex-law professor Joshua Wright’s First Amendment and sex bias lawsuit against the school.
The case stems from Wright’s resignation from George Mason amid allegations that he abused his power as a professor to pursue sexual relationships with his law students, according to an opinion by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia issued Thursday. After his resignation took effect on August 2023, George Mason administrators promised to review and reform its policies in response to public pressure.
