A former Equinox trainer joined the company in a motion to vacate judgment in her race and gender bias suit, less than three months after a jury awarded her $11.2 million in damages.
Röbynn Europe sued Equinox in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2020, alleging that the company failed to address repeated racist and sexually inappropriate behavior from other employees and that her firing on the grounds of “lateness” was pretext to discriminate against her as a Black woman.
