Ex-Denver Law Student Sanctioned, Retaliation Claim Thrown Out

A former University of Denver law school student was unsucessful on a disability-based retaliation claim against the school over a failed externship, his sole remaining claim after five years of litigation.

The University of Denver’s summary judgment motion was granted, and Ethan West-Helmle’s motion for reconsideration of the denial of a motion for recusal was denied by Judge Raymond P. Moore, of the US District Court for the District of Colorado, in an Aug. 12 order.
