Ex-Delaware State Football Player Sues Over Locker Room Assault

A former Delaware State University football player is accusing the school and head coach DeSean Jackson of failing to properly control a campus locker room where a fellow student assaulted him.

Malachi Biggs alleged former teammate Anthony Herbert put him in a headlock during a confrontation about an Instagram post in November 2025, causing severe injuries from which he’s still recovering, in a suit filed Thursday in the Delaware Superior Court.

He is seeking damages from Jackson, assistant coach Travis Clark, head of football operations Jane Hicks, DSU, and Herbert, who’s also now an assistant coach.
