Ex-CPAC Group Workers Mostly Beat Trade Secrets Theft Lawsuit

A federal judge tossed a lawsuit by the group behind the annual Conservative Political Action Conference against former employees and their new organization that alleged they stole a system of scoring lawmakers.

However, Judge Rossie D. Alston Jr. gave the American Conservative Union the chance to fix the problems he found with the complaint, according to his 37-page opinion issued Feb. 13 and docketed Feb. 14, saying the group has until March 3 to file an amended lawsuit.
