Ex-Capgemini Worker Heads to Trial Alleging Firing Over Leave

A former Capgemini America IT worker alleging he was fired after taking time off for anxiety-related health issues can proceed with his claims that the the company violated his Family and Medical Leave Act rights, a federal court ruled.

Judge William P. Dimitrouleas of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Monday denied Capgemini’s summary judgment motion and Ramses Ibrahim’s partial summary judgment motion—allowing the case to move forward to a jury.
