Former Boston police commissioner Dennis White, fired in the wake of reports of domestic violence allegations, may pursue due process, defamation, and privacy claims against the city and its former acting mayor, a federal judge in Massachusetts said.
White was appointed in February 2021 by former Mayor Marty Walsh (D). White was suspended two days after the appointment in response to media inquiries about domestic violence accusations from his past, the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said.
