Former Baltimore state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby is seeking a judgment of acquittal on mortgage fraud charges after the government rested its case on Wednesday.
Mosby’s motion, filed in the US District Court for the District of Maryland, claims the government has failed to prove that the case is in the proper venue, because it has failed to present any evidence that the alleged false statements were submitted or received in Maryland.
