Ex-American Flight Attendant Fired After Inquiry Lacks Bias Suit

An American Airlines reserve-duty flight attendant fired after a probe showed she was often unavailable to fly from her base in Philadelphia can’t prove job discrimination, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled.

Shaneane Davis-Jackson said the real reason she was terminated was because she became depressed following the death of her godfather and took pre-approved medical leave. The airline also discriminated against her because she is Black, Davis-Jackson said.
