Ex-Alexion Pharmaceuticals VP, Others Accused of Insider Trading

A former Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc. executive has been indicted, along with three others, on insider trading charges, according to documents unsealed Thursday.

The indictment, filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, charges Joseph Dupont, Shawn Cronin, Stanley Kaplan, and Paul Feldman with one count of conspiracy, 11 counts of securities fraud, and 10 counts of tender offer fraud.

A fifth individual, Jarrett Mendoza, was also charged this week, but has already pleaded guilty pursuant to a cooperation agreement, prosecutors say.
