Eurofins Scientific Worker Sues Over Unpaid Covid-19 Screenings

Eurofins Scientific Inc. is facing accusations that it violated California labor law by failing to pay hundreds of employees for time spent undergoing mandatory temperature checks and Covid-19 screening questionnaires in a new lawsuit filed in a federal court in San Francisco.

The proposed class action was brought by Rito Lopez, who has worked as a packer at the global laboratory testing services company’s facility in Oakland, Calif., since 1990.

Lopez seeks to represent other similarly situated employees including but not limited to packers, warehouse assistants, and shipping technicians.
