Erika Girardi Was Unaware of Tom’s Fraud, Appeals Court Finds

Erika Girardi, the singer, actress, and estranged wife of convicted ex-lawyer Tom Girardi, showed she didn’t know about her husband’s theft of client settlement funds, an appeals court said Tuesday.

Justices in California’s Court of Appeal, Second District affirmed a trial court’s decision to grant summary judgment to Erika Girardi on claims by personal injury attorney Robert P. Finn that she aided and abetted Tom Girardi and his now-shuttered firm’s notorious fraud.
