Episource Data Breach Class Action Gets Significantly Narrowed

Health care risk adjustment services firm Episource LLC convinced a California federal court to dismiss most plaintiffs from of a data breach class action against it and several health providers .

Many of the 23 named plaintiffs in the class action seeking to represent the more than 5.4 million people impacted by the health data breach were dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. Many of the customer defendants shook off claims after US District Court for the Central District of California Judge Stanley Blumenfeld Jr. said there was a lack of personal jurisdiction
