EPA, Land O’Lakes Reach $5.7 Million Agreement in Superfund Suit

The EPA seeks a judge’s approval of a $5.7 million settlement reached with Land O’Lakes Inc. and another owner of a site in Oklahoma that was contaminated with hazardous substances, according to a filing in a federal court in the state.

The dairy company and Cushing Oklahoma Brownfields LLC will pay the Environmental Protection Agency for past costs of cleaning up the site under the proposed consent decree, the agency told the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
