Emory University Gets Class Status Vacated in Covid Tuition Suit

Emory University successfully challenged class certification in a breach of contract suit involving the tuition students paid while studying online during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Eleventh Circuit said.

Marc Schultz, a parent of an Emory student, said the university should have prorated tuition or provided tuition refunds when classes went online in Spring 2020.
