A Tennessee judge on Wednesday blocked a foreclosure auction of Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion over concerns raised by his granddaughter, actor Riley Keough, that an investor used fraudulent means to take it.
Shelby County Chancellor JoeDae Jenkins issued an order canceling the sale scheduled for Thursday, saying the 13-acre Memphis property is “unique” under Tennessee state law. The sale going forward would’ve caused irreparable harm, Jenkins said, according to a video of court proceedings posted by the Associated Press.
Keough filed a lawsuit last week claiming Naussany Investments and Private Lending presented fraudulent documents to foreclose on Graceland.
