Billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit against OpenAI Inc. and its CEO Sam Altman for violating the AI startup’s founding mission.

Musk’s attorneys filed the dismissal in San Francisco Superior Court without prejudice, meaning he can refile the complaint in the future. The filing didn’t provide any details about whether the parties had reached a settlement.

The Tesla Inc. and X Corp. CEO sued OpenAI in March, alleging the AI startup that he helped found in 2015 betrayed its founding principles after his departure by focusing on profit over benefiting humanity.
