ELLE Magazine Sues Competitor Over Branded Glasses Trademark

The publisher of ELLE Magazine is suing a company for marketing and selling confusingly similar sunglasses which infringe its trademark, a new lawsuit said.

Paris-based Hachette Filipacchi Presse alleges at least one of its distinct ELLE-branded glasses or sunglasses was infringed by Florida company Prestige International Group LLC. Prestige advertises its ELLE-LE eyewear to US-based customers, including those in New York, the complaint filed in the US District for the Southern District of New York said.
