Eli Lilly & Co. and a subsidiary failed to block class certification of a federal lawsuit accusing them of systematically favoring younger, Millennial workers when it comes to promotions.

The US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana rejected the companies’ position on the standard of proof needed to conditionally certify a case as a collective action under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
