Elanco Portrays Harmful Seresto Pet Collars as Safe, Suit Says

Elanco Animal Health Inc. deceptively markets Seresto dog and cat collars as safe for pets, even though the products contain toxins that can cause the animals severe harm and even death, a new proposed class suit in a California federal court alleges.

Seresto products, like other flea and tick collars, work by releasing small amounts of pesticide onto the animal for months at a time, Aitana Vargas and Faye Hemsley say in a suit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
