Eiger Lacks Ties to Texas to File for Bankruptcy There, DOJ Says

Drug developer Eiger Biopharmaceuticals Inc.‘s bankruptcy should be transferred or dismissed because the company has no relationship to the Dallas district where it filed, the Justice Department’s bankruptcy monitor said.

“The history, operations, and corporate structure of the Debtors do not indicate any connections with the Northern District of Texas, much less connections sufficient to create venue in this Court,” the US Trustee said in an emergency motion Thursday.
