EEOC Sues Pearson Education Over Benefits, Training Access

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing Pearson Education Inc., alleging the company failed to provide employees with visual impairments equal access to training, employee benefits, performance, and leave information, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The EEOC alleges that Pearson—an educational publishing and services company—contracted with third-party vendors that provide online platforms and software for accessing payroll, benefits, leave tracking, and employee performance metrics.
