The EEOC sued the parent company of Holiday Inn Express and seven other affiliated hotel operators, alleging the companies violated federal civil rights laws by subjecting a transgender employee to discrimination and harassment and failing to remedy a hostile work environment.
A supervisor allegedly subjected former hotel housekeeper Dylan Bringuel to slurs, anti-transgender statements, and misgendering, according to the EEOC’s complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of New York.
