An Applebee’s Services Inc. franchisee subjected female employees to a hostile work environment and sex harassment at its Chelsea, Ala., location, the EEOC alleged in a federal court complaint filed Monday.
The company’s general manager and other male employees made inappropriate sexual comments to, and inappropriately touched female employees, including minors, starting in May 2023, according to the complaint file at the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
The company, formally known as Quality Restaurant Concepts LLC, knew abut the situation but failed to take prompt action to correct it, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said. ...
