EBay, Former Executives Settle Stalking Case Days Before Trial

A journalist husband and wife whose coverage of eBay Inc. sparked a campaign of stalking and harassment settled their claims against the company and executives in charge during the incident Wednesday just days before going to trial.

David and Ina Steiner, who publish online news about eBay and other merchants, were harassed on the internet by members of eBay’s security team and then mailed disturbing items to their Massachusetts home, including a book on surviving the death of a spouse, a bloody pig mask, a funeral wreath, and live insects.
