The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee failed to get a preliminary injunction against Israel’s entrance into the Department of Homeland Security’s visa waiver program despite alleging ongoing discrimination against Palestinian-Americans.
The committee said an immediate injunction was warranted because Israel’s final approval on Wednesday might not be reviewable by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. But Judge Laurie J. Michelson wrote for the court Tuesday that it didn’t show a preliminary injunction could be issued without notice to the government.
