Ample Energy Inc. faces suit from three ex-employees claiming it breached the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, Act and California’s Labor Code by failing to provide 60 days’ advance notice before firing them and approximately 200 other employees this month.
Plaintiffs Sabrina Ohanian, Henry Smith, and Maricela Guerrero Santo say the e-vehicle battery swapping company terminated their employment and that of their proposed class members without cause, and without the requisite 60-day notice as part of mass layoffs or plant closings on or about Sept. 10.
