Regulators on the US Consumer Product Safety Commission are putting e-commerce platforms on notice that they will face increased scrutiny for the role they play in distributing dangerous products.
Last week, two of the independent agency’s commissioners released a joint statement asking agency staff to evaluate Shein and Temu after reports the Chinese e-commerce platforms have listed deadly baby products for sale.
