Dutch Bros Coffee Franchise Hit With Shareholder Derivative Suit

Directors of the Dutch Bros Inc. board were hit with a shareholder derivative suit alleging they failed to disclose increasing costs and margin pressures in 2022, made materially misleading statements, and mismanaged corporate assets.

The board of the coffee shop chain, based primarily in the Pacific Northwest, didn’t disclose the effect of increasing dairy prices and didn’t maintain internal controls, according to the complaint Brennan Hudson filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday.
