Drug Counselor Drops Harassment Suit Against Former Maine Judge

A drug and alcohol counselor in a Maine treatment court ended her sexual harassment lawsuit against a former state judge.

Samantha Pike and former Judge Charles Budd Jr. jointly filed a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice to federal Judge Lance E. Walker on Thursday. The dismissal comes weeks after the two sides reached an undisclosed settlement agreement, according to a Feb. 2 minute entry in the US District Court for the District of Maine. Neither party immediately responded to a request for comment.
