Driven Brands Will Arbitrate Retaliation, Discrimination Lawsuit

Driven Brands Holdings Inc. will address a Mexican American woman’s allegations that she was fired for complaining about a discriminatory and hostile work environment in arbitration, a district court said Friday.

Kayla Moncayo is subject to an employment dispute program and arbitration agreement with Driven Brands Shared Services LLC, the parent company of the Maaco USA autobody and the Meineke USA muffler shop franchises, according to a consent order in the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Magistrate Judge Susan C. Rodriguez said both parties consented to moving to arbitration and staying the suit.
