Draiver’s Suit Over Patents on Technology to Move Cars Dismissed

Draiver’s patent claims for two systems for moving vehicles from one location to another were based on abstract ideas, and therefore weren’t eligible for patent protection, a federal court said, dismissing Draiver’s infringement suit to protect the patents.

DriverDo LLC, d/b/a Draiver, said that its technology “‘provides dealerships, vehicle service centers, fleet owners, rental agencies, [Original Equipment Manufacturers][,] and others with the ability to connect with top-rated drivers to move vehicles as affordably, quickly, and safely as possible,’” according to an opinion by Judge M.
