Dragon-Themed Liquor Brand Says It Hasn’t Copied Rival Tequila

Beer and liquor company Dragon’s Milk is seeking a declaratory judgment in federal court that it hasn’t infringed tequila brand Casa Dragone’s trademarks—as Casa Dragones seeks to cancel Dragon’s Milk marks at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Dragon’s Milk parent company New Holland IP LLC filed its lawsuit against Casa Dragones parent company, Playa Holding Corporation, on Thursday in the US District Court for the Western District of Michigan.

Dragon Milk’s complaint comes as Casa Dragones petitions the Trademark Board to void Dragon’s Milk’s registered marks and deny a pending Dragon’s Milk application, according to the complaint.
