Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Inks $9.2 Million Collagen Settlement

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare LLC has agreed to settle claims its “C + Collagen” line was deceptively marketed for $9.2 million and discontinue the label.

The non-reversionary settlement, which follows four years of litigation, will give purchasers $50 per unit of product, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary approval of the settlement filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Consumers said they believed the skincare products contained collagen and collagen amino acids because of the “C + Collagen” labels, but those ingredients were absent. The skincare brand has discontinued the products with ...
