A group of companies including the maker of Dr. Bronner’s magic soaps can’t ditch antidumping duties on xanthan gum imports from China, a federal appeals court said Thursday.
US Customs and Border Protection’s determinations that the importers evaded antidumping duties by bringing in Chinese xanthan gum through India are “in accordance with law and supported by substantial evidence,” said Judge Todd M. Hughes in an opinion for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
