DoorDash Defenses Survive Early Attack in Delivery-Fee Suit (1)

DoorDash Inc. will be permitted to proceed with most of its early defenses in a lawsuit filed by the City of Chicago alleging it misled customers about delivery fees and menu prices, a federal court ruled.

Affirmative defenses asserted by DoorDash in the city’s consumer-deception lawsuit were sufficiently pleaded to survive a motion to strike, Judge Robert W. Gettleman of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Friday.
