DoorDash, Chicago Reach $18 Million Deal in Unfair-Practices Row

DoorDash and the city of Chicago have reached a settlement in Chicago’s suit alleging the delivery app engaged in deceptive practices, according to a news release from Mayor Brandon Johnson’s office.

In total, DoorDash agreed to pay out some $18 million, including $5.8 million to eligible restaurants using the delivery platform and $3.25 million to restaurants that were listed on the platform without their consent and are not currently on the app, according to the news release.
