A coalition of 22 domestic violence victims’ aid groups are alleging the US Departments of Health and Human Services and Housing and Urban Development are illegally forcing them to adhere to Trump’s DEI executive orders.
The conditions have nothing to do with the nonprofit groups’ missions but instead “seek to advance the Administration’s wholly unrelated ideological goals” to end diversity, equity, and inclusion, deny transgender people’s identities, and cut off access to abortion resources and referrals, says the lawsuit filed Monday with the US District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
